Can a woman wear shoes during Saee?

Question:

Can a woman wear shoes during Saee for umrah?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-Salāmu ʿAlaykum Wa-Raḥmatullāhi Wa-Barakātuh

ʿUmrah is an act of worship characterized by humility and devotion. Therefore, when there is no genuine need, it is preferable to perform saʿy without shoes, as this is more in keeping with the spirit of humility. However, if a person experiences pain or hardship by walking without footwear, then it is permissible to perform saʿy while wearing clean shoes. 

And Allah Taʿāla Knows Best.
