Entering a park without paying the entrance fee!
Question:
If a park requires a payment but I know someone who works there and can get me in without paying. Would I be allowed to go without payment?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullāhi Wa-Barakātuh.
Your query is commendable as it shows the presence of taqwa in your heart.
In the enquired situation, it will not be permissible, because the park is not owned by the worker. However, if the worker is authorized by the management, it will be allowed to enter.
It is narrated in a Hadeeth:
مَنْ غَشَّ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي
He who deceives is not of me (is not my follower).[1]
Accordingly, one should abstain from all types of cheating.
