Can one exchange an old phone with a new phone?

Question:

Is it permissible to exchange an old model phone plus and additional sum of money in exchange of a new model phone??

Will this deal constitute interest?

Let’s say the old model phone costs R1000 and new model costs R1500.

Can one change the old model phone plus R500 in return of the new model phone?

Answer:
